LionHeart Critical Power Specialists, Inc. is thrilled to announce its collaboration with the Oscar Mike Foundation as LionHeart’s official Non-Profit partner.
The Oscar Mike Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) Public Non-Profit dedicated to providing support to injured veterans looking for an opportunity to stay active or “On the Move.”
Don Ritter, LionHeart President and Air Force veteran, said of the relationship, “When we asked our employees what LionHeart should consider when choosing a non-profit for our volunteer program, there was an overwhelming response to support and assist our veterans. Oscar Mike’s mission directly aligns with our core values.”
Donations to the Oscar Mike Foundation and proceeds from the sales of Oscar Mike Apparel help fund a variety of programs that allow injured veterans to get involved in athletic and adrenaline pumping activities to fuel their competitive spirit.
At the Oscar Mike Compound, athletes can take part in adaptive workouts, flight lessons, UTV driving, kayaking, cycling, fishing, equestrian therapy, skydiving and adaptive triathlon activities. It is also home to the only all-Veteran wheelchair rugby team – the Oscar Mike Militia.
Oscar Mike and LionHeart started their joint effort by offering official Oscar Mike and LionHeart co-branded T-shirts to all LionHeart team members, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the Oscar Mike Foundation. So far over 180 have been sold. LionHeart has also committed 200 hours of paid volunteer time to its employees to assist the Oscar Mike mission over the coming year.
Over the past weekend several members of the LionHeart Team attended the Oscar Mike 75 race at Slinger Speedway in Wisconsin, to show their support for the organization.
Lionheart will continue to support the Oscar Mike mission by connecting it’s team members to volunteer opportunities at Oscar Mike’s events, warehouse, and training compound. Additionally, Lionheart will devote it’s charity budget to the Oscar Mike Foundation and assist in ongoing fundraising initiatives.
